125 care packages were donated to the Safe House of Southeast Missouri in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. This donation was part of our GiveAFriend Holiday initiative. From Thanksgiving through Giving Tuesday, SendAFriend shut down the store for normal sales and focused solely on giving. During that time, our GiveAFriend program remained open and we asked that our fluffy friends be purchased for donation during the most thankful time of year. These stuffed animal care packages brought a little extra love and holiday cheer to those that need it most.
The Safe House for Women is a not-for-profit, private 501(c)(3) domestic violence agency that provides safe shelter, 24-hour crisis hot line services, intensive case management, counseling, court advocacy, referral services, and education programs.The Safe House was established in 1991, providing safe shelter and a crisis hot line as a source of immediate help for victims of domestic violence and abuse.
