Hi! My name is Tyler, I’m 19 years old, and I’m the founder of SendAFriend. I always knew I wanted to build a brand that would help raise funds for charities that do amazing work.
Growing up, I always heard of Children’s hospitals for some reason. Our local schools always had fundraisers for St. Jude’s, as well as our local events were sponsored by them. My mom was a big advocate of the work that children’s hospitals do as well, so I guess it was kind of wired into my brain how much good they can do.
Now that I’m older, it’s definitely obvious how incredible children’s hospitals are and the work of St. Jude’s is. I definitely knew I wanted to have a portion of each sale go to these kinds of children’s hospitals. Since the brand has that lighthearted, giddy feeling, I feel like a donation to these hospitals makes sense.
Eventually, I will try to build upon these initial charitable values and expand upon them. Some goals in the future are provide stuffed animals for kids getting treatments, raise the percents of the donation, as well as visit the hospitals or donate stuffed animals to kids in the hospitals.
If you have any suggestions for potential places to donate, fundraisers, or events to sponsor, please contact me here.
