Bringing joy and smiles with every visit, Project Fire Buddies consists of a group of firefighters who offer support to children who are fighting critical illnesses and their families. Boasting the phrase: "Sometimes, real superheroes live in the hearts of small children fighting big battles", the organization provides gifts, once in a lifetime experiences, medical devices, and a support system to those they serve.
The $10,000 International Day of Happiness Donation from our Spread the Love Fund helped provide much-needed resources and support to several families. As this incredible organization continues to grow, welcoming new branches, our donation will help with their vision to bring Project Fire Buddies to every fire department in the nation.
Sometimes smiles and joy bring a few happy tears with them. During our initial meeting, there were tears from the SendAFriend team and Kurt, the Founder of Project Fire Buddies. Kurt shared later, that when he received his donation, his eyes leaked and we are 2 for 2 with making that happen. We are so happy to have been able to spread smiles (and leaky eyes) with this organization.
