10 care packages were donated to The Trium Tribe in Franklin, Tennessee. This donation was part of our GiveAFriend Holiday initiative. From Thanksgiving through Giving Tuesday, SendAFriend shut down the store for normal sales and focused solely on giving. During that time, our GiveAFriend program remained open and we asked that our fluffy friends be purchased for donation during the most thankful time of year. These stuffed animal care packages brought a little extra love and holiday cheer to those that need it most.
Founded by fifteen year old Reilly Cate Ferguson, The Trium Tribe provides support and shows love to children with Down syndrome as they face life-altering experiences such as adoption, cancer, or open heart surgery. Their welcome home basket program exists to celebrate children with Down syndrome who have been adopted in the past six months. Each basket contains a minky blanket, wooden scripture block, children’s book, “21 Things” book that is exclusive to The Trium Tribe, and more, depending on the age of the child and what has been donated.
