250 care packages were donated to Toys for Tots in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. This donation was part of our GiveAFriend Holiday initiative. From Thanksgiving through Giving Tuesday, SendAFriend shut down the store for normal sales and focused solely on giving. During that time, our GiveAFriend program remained open and we asked that our fluffy friends be purchased for donation during the most thankful time of year. These stuffed animal care packages brought a little extra love and holiday cheer to those that need it most.
Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. Since 1947, they've been provided a tangible sign of hope and joy to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas and beyond.
