On a regular Thursday morning after just finishing a chemistry test, Jackson Senior High School student, Makenzie Johnson, was surprised when SendAFriend, her family, and the local news station stepped into her classroom to present a $5,000 Small Business Grant from SendAFriend.
Skipping the traditional college route, founder, Tyler Macke, launched SendAFriend right out of high school with just $2,000 in startup capital. Since then, we’ve donated over $1 million to incredible organizations. Furthering his mission to give back, Tyler hopes to encourage young entrepreneurs like himself to follow their dreams. In addition to the $5,000 Small Business Grant, Tyler will mentor Makenzie as she continues to grow her adorable handmade pet brand, Bella Co.
