The Sexual Trauma Awareness & Recovery (STAR) Center at Methodist Hospital Northlake in Gary, Indiana, provides medical forensic exams and compassionate care to survivors of sexual violence, child abuse, and human trafficking. Many of the children they serve arrive scared and uncertain, often in the midst of life-changing transitions, being removed from their families, and relying on strangers for safety.

We have received the plushies and have already been able to gift a few to some of our patients. Thank you so much!
