Since 2021, SendAFriend has been proud to support The Ali Forney Center in New York City. We are happy to continue our support with another donation of $2,500.
The Ali Forney Center was founded in 2002 in response to the lack of safe and culturally competent shelters for LGBTQ+ youth in NYC. Their work not only meets basic needs but also provides young people with support services and the tools they need to transform their lives. Their services include education and career counseling, independent living skills, health, and mental health services, in addition to individualized care through case managers and life coaches (volunteer mentors) who work with youth on their goal of living independently.
Our donation of $2,500 helps to secure 1,000 meals for those they serve.
