For several years, we've had the honor of supporting Compassion Delivered, an organization that provides delicious and nutritious meals to families facing life-threatening and terminal illnesses. Not only do their volunteers deliver meals, they do this free of charge and arrive with handmade cards to encourage families during these difficult journeys. They also love delivering our adorable stuffed animal care packages!
One of our favorite things is hearing stories about these special deliveries. Founder, Amanda, shared this:
I want to share this story with you - today when our volunteers delivered the meals, one of the most recent meal recipients where a husband and wife. The husband was the one who was sick. We only delivered to him for two weeks before he passed away. Today the daughter was there visiting her mom and stepped outside to talk to the driver. She thanked him for everything and how much her mom needed this. She said the first delivery her dad received the blue box and in it was the sloth. He loved sloths (we didn't know that) but after he passed, Linda his wife has been carrying the sloth with her everywhere and named it Freddie, that was her husband's name. She said you have no idea how much this sloth has brought my mom such comfort. 💜🧡 Thank you for doing this for them. ❤️❤️
